As the Internet and Web Browsers have evolved, Macromedia Flash has proven to be an
invaluable browser-based presentation layer.
Flash has grown from a time-line centric environment suitable for games, cartoons
and dynamic advertising to a fully programmable script-centric Rapid Application
Development platform suitable for web based forms and data driven applications.
We have consistently taken advantage
of all that Flash has to offer, and now more than ever!
We have recently placed an emphasis on creating dynamic data driven Flash
animations that are easier to use, automatically updated, robust, less repetitive,
more responsive, and provide enhanced user interactivity.
Look for new features and improvements to our interactive Flash exercises
as we continue to develop and enhance our new Flash engine.
Our new approach to data driven content delivery via Flash will not only
provide you with a richer user experience, but will also allow us to realize new
possibilities which have not previously been available or considered.

Our new dynamic Flash engine is built on a core set of reusable components and scripts
which are driven by XML encoded data. To date we have used this engine to develop several simulation exercises which place
the user in a series of interpersonal interactions with various other characters/avatars. You can see a sample of the programming
by viewing a sample of a
game simulation
we recently completed.
In this simulation, your input and responses affect both
your score and your path through the game, making each play different from the last. This not only allows you to learn more
each time you play, but will also make learning new material more of a personal
experience.In addition to the exciting
new Simulations, we are implementing
similar technologies throughout all of our course exercises.
